The formal educational program begins in the late afternoon with two focused one-hour sessions: Non-OR Anesthesia and Sedation: Introduction, Pearls and Pitfalls (4:00-5:00 PM) and Optimizing Pediatric Sedation Outcomes (5:15-6:15 PM).

A polished arrival base in the center of Arusha, this historic property offers landscaped gardens, a swimming pool, dining, and the practical infrastructure needed for the opening of an international medical conference journey. It provides a comfortable first night after long-haul travel and a convenient base for the following morning's transfer to the safari airstrip.

After breakfast, transfer to the Arusha safari airstrip for a scheduled bush flight to Kogatende. The flight dramatically compresses the distance between the city and the northern Serengeti, replacing a long road journey with an aerial transition over the Tanzanian landscape.

On arrival, the safari begins immediately with a game-transfer toward Ole Serai Luxury Camp.

After lunch and camp orientation, the first three-hour SAGE academic block is delivered during the midday pause.

Later in the afternoon, depart in private safari vehicles to begin tracking the migration and resident wildlife toward the Mara River system. The emphasis is on orientation to the northern ecosystem: herd movement, riverine habitat, predators, elephants, giraffe, and the changing conditions that will guide the next several days.

Depending on herd position, the drive may involve waiting near favored crossing areas, following large columns across the plains, or shifting attention to lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, giraffe, and other resident species.

Depart early for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the crater, one of East Africa's most concentrated wildlife landscapes. The crater floor combines grassland, woodland, marsh, and lake habitats within a vast volcanic caldera, creating opportunities to observe lion, buffalo, elephant, hippo, hyena, plains game, and, with luck, black rhino.

After time to refresh, the final two one-hour SAGE sessions are integrated into the closing evening program and dinner.

After breakfast, depart the Ngorongoro Highlands by private or coordinated vehicle for Arusha and Kilimanjaro International Airport according to the group's confirmed international flight schedule. Depending on departure times, the transfer can include an appropriate comfort stop or coordinated lunch in the Arusha area.

Onward international departure or separately arranged extension. Guests extending their time in Tanzania may separate from the main transfer plan according to individually confirmed arrangements with Seek and Savor Travel.

The 20.0-hour SAGE curriculum has been completed by the previous evening, leaving the final day free of formal academic obligations.
